Well done to the question setters for including a couple of more or less contemporary numbers in this round – although I might not have been so happy if I'd been in seat 3 or 6!
Blinding Lights was probably the most successful single, worldwide, of 2021; for a comprehensive summary of its achievements, see Wikipedia. Shake it Off dates from 2014; it peaked at No. 2 in the UK, but on the Billboard Hot 100 it spent four weeks at No. 1 and six months in the Top Ten. It marked Swift's change from Country to Pop, launching the era that turned her into "one of the best–selling musicians of all time".
